Cats Protection celebrates unsung heroes

FLIPT director Duncan Christie directs this thoughtful 60 second commercial telling the story of how a mum and child have to leave an abusive home and are unable to take their cat with them.
The family are in an impossible situation and Cats Protection volunteers are there to help them until they get back on their feet again.
Christie creates an effective emotional tone as we follow the two story strands, the mum and daughter’s lives being torn apart, and the cat and its foster carer who will take care of the cat until the family find a new home. With a lightness of touch Christie shows the unbroken bond between the cat and its owners even while the cat is in the temporary arrangement. Thanks to the Cats Protection volunteers shown here, the family and cat are reunited when the time is right.
