It was whilst running on set aged 17 in London, that South African born Andrea Jade Colomb realised she wanted to become a director.

She began her career making behind the scenes films and assisting Directors on and off set, whilst honing-in on the opportunity to make her own films. It wasn’t long before AJ began to gain recognition for her raw humanity and brave sense of humour that permeates so much of her work.

In 2017 AJ won a YDA for her self-made film Visit Iceland. Since then she has gone on to work for clients such as Barclays, T-Mobile and Philipps, showcasing her knack for comedy and ability in making people happy her driving force.

Ellie Goodwin, Executive Producer at Caviar in London had this to say on her joining: “Aj’s already a supremely talented and in-demand filmmaker, so we really do feel incredible lucky that she’s chosen us as a home. Working with her is a true pleasure and we look forward to supporting her as she continues to carve out a bold creative vision. We couldn’t be prouder to have her join the family.”

AJ adds: “Delighted to join forces with Caviar in London and be amongst an epic line-up of Directors...Let the fun begin!”.
