South America's Livschitz Joins Cortez Bros. for US Work

The Cortez Brothers, an LA-based global production company specializing in international productions, has signed Director Fernando Livschitz for US representation. Buenos Aires-based Livschitz joins The Cortez roster on the heels of his two highly successful web films: "Escalas New York" and "Buenos Aires Inception Park." Inspired by the design and architecture of great cities, the virals combine surreal imagery with the realism of the city.
"The addition of Fernando to our roster makes perfect sense and we're very happy to have him aboard," remarks The Cortez Brothers Executive Producer Ed Rivero. "Fernando highlights the wealth of talent in Latin America, and we're confident he'll make a seamless transition to mainstream media just as we've seen with others like Federico and Ricardo."
With an early career steeped in mixed-media and multiple post-production disciplines, Livschitz's filmmaking aesthetic combines his passion for visual art and photography. As a director, he emphasizes lighting, color and composition to capture the beauty of detail.
At the age of 17, Livschitz's filmmaking debuted with his short film "Admision y Permanencia" ("Admission and Permanence"). His second short film, "Atarashii," screened internationally at film festivals across Europe, North America and South America, garnering several awards and honors along the way. After graduating from film school at Universidad del Cine in Buenos Aires, Livschitz went on to receive extensive post-production experience with stints at Encuadre, Illusion Studios and Barraca Post.
As he moved into the director's chair at Fight Films and Buffalo Films, his commercial directing credits included spots for Standard Bank, AXE, Bimbo, Hooks, Sony, Bayer, La Salta, Pop Art, Cadbury, The Nation, LAN, Nivea, Petrobras, and the City of Buenos Aires. Most recently, Livschitz directed a web spot for Coca Cola, which nabbed tens of thousands of views in just two weeks. Livschitz has also directed music videos for Latin American bands Attaque 77, Tipitos, Mancha de Rolando, Kyosko, Adicta, Dmente, Guachass, and Division Urbana.
Livschitz continues his passion for photography, exhibiting at art galleries worldwide.
