The trio of film-makers Holocene are known for intimate storytelling in both long and short formats  bringing  a wealth of craft disciplines to the table including script writing and concept  development.

“Being moved to act after watching a film is a sure sign that a director has got through to the  audience in a tangible way.” is the reason Katherine Smithson, Head of Director’s Department  for the Markenfilm Group cites upon being asked which quality of their work attracted her  attention. “After watching Holocene’s poignant film Osynlig those of us who still have  mothers all called them and within the hour we had reached out to Holocene themselves.” she continues referencing Holocene’s interpretation of “What does home smell like?” for IKEA’s scented candle range.

For Flook Nielsen, Leonard Rääf and Mathias Skaarup-Schmidt, this step is significant with the  craft of storytelling in German advertising acting as a benchmark and source of inspiration for  the Scandinavian industry. “The quality of scripts from Germany and the partnership-style approach to film making that Markenfilm Group offers are just two of the many reasons why we are taking this step at this time in our career and we are very excited to bring what we have to offer to this market.”
