David Cornell Joins GARTNER
The veteran director and his EP, Craig Rodgers, move over from FORM.
David Cornell to Direct Through GARTNER
Director/Cinematographer David Cornell has joined L.A.- based production company GARTNER for exclusive US spot representation. He comes aboard with Executive Producer Craig Rodgers. Both Cornell and Rodgers were most recently at FORM.
"I'm feeling this fantastic energy right now," says Cornell, who is best known for a highly successful run as a partner and director at Headquarters Films. Most recently, he's been living and working in Italy, building a home there with his wife and daughters and directing select projects via FORM. Now, with GARTNER, he says he's been re-energized.
"For four or five years, the industry has been in such a state of flux. Craig and I have been seeking the right relationship and moment to reemerge in a new era, as it were," Cornell says. "James Gartner is among those colleagues who have continued to thrive. GARTNER as a company has a stellar reputation, and has proved itself to be agile and forward-thinking."
Rodgers referred to Cornell as "a classic filmmaker who does a wide variety of things; his attitude and creative perspective have evolved over the years." Coming from a creative and pragmatic place, he said, "David is able to be an inspiration, as well as a safety valve for agencies and brands."
