Director at Partizan David M. Helman has directed a four part series of music videos for singer/songwriter Shey Baba, following a man through different stages of his life - childhood, adulthood andold age.

The four chapters cover four songs; Born Sick, Vertigo, Requiem and I Want It All.

The first two chapters to be released are Born Sick and Vertigo. In these we are introduced to our hero as a child, and flash forward to various stages of his life. These events create a metaphorical ripple effect across generations, carefully creating parallel scenes between his different ages.

Shot in and around Kiev at the end of last year, the promos deal with the passage of time, and how one’s ambition can ultimately lead to isolation. The visuals are striking, capturing raw human emotions juxtaposed with the stark Ukrainian landscapes. Helman uses dance as a reoccurring central motif to express the characters’ emotions, creating a unison between the different versions of our hero.
