Elias Arts, a company devoted to music composition, strategy and production, has announced the promotion of Kala Sherman as the company's new Executive Producer in its New York Office.

"We are so excited to have Kala at the helm of our New York office," said Ann Haugen, Executive Producer/GM, Elias Arts. "She has such a great passion for music and for our business, and has long been a top notch producer. It is rare to find that kind of combination in one person."

Says Sherman, "After spending six years working in our Santa Monica studios, it's so exciting to have the opportunity to lead our studio in Manhattan. One of my objectives in evolving the New York studio experience is to ensure that our East Coast office works seamlessly with our office on the West Coast. Leveraging the composers in both studios will only enhance our clients' experience and guarantee they'll get the same quality production process that Elias Arts has long built its reputation on."

Joining Sherman in the New York studio is Jeff Fiorello, in the newly formed post of Associate Producer. Fiorello is also a singer/songwriter who has worked in commercial production in Manhattan since 2006.

Sherman, a New York native, originally joined Elias' West Coast studio in 2004. She recently produced the music for the 2010 Visa Olympics Winter Campaign (comprised of 20 spots, including long form web content) and the Pepsi "Pass" campaign, featuring T. Bone Burnett.

A vocal performer since childhood, she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and Music from Jacksonville University. She later worked in radio promotion for Columbia Records and has also worked in the Talent and Marketing departments at the renowned entertainment talent and literary agency Endeavor.
