Thornberg & Forester will host New York City motion graphics group at Apple Store in Soho
Elizabeth Kiehner, Scott Matz, and Justin Meredith, principals of Thornberg & Forester, a multidisciplinary creative agency focused on design and advertising for clients worldwide, will curate a demonstration and Q&A of recent work done by the 10-month old firm for advertising, broadcast and music clients. The event will be held at the Apple Store in Soho from 6 to 8 p.m. on November 5th.
Keihner, an EP with Freestyle Collective, NYC, and Trollback +Company before launching T&F with partners designer/animators Meredith and t Matz last February, recently spearheaded interactive, broadcast and print projects for a wide array of clients including Microsoft, TBS, Nissan, VH1, fashion designer and Oprah darling, Adam plus Eve, and complete production and post for rising alt rock band Northern Room’s debut music video.
Working in several disciplines:animation, graphics, live action, print, identity and installations for television, film, branding, on line and site-specific applications, T&F's portfolio is diverse with an emphasis on distinctive ideas that achieve clients' goals from concept through completion.
T&F believes all projects and campaigns must start with a powerful message coupled with the right medium to communicate it. The team brings together innovative people who deliver bold ideas by generating creative with a strategic backbone.
“We rely on open communication and collaboration with our clients as a means to achieve their goals and deliver lasting results,” says, Kiehner, who worked with Matz and Meredith for four years before teaming upto launch T&F.
T&F is an independent, wholly owned company with core expertise in advertising, design, interactive, animation and content.
Elizabeth Kiehner
After studying film at FAMU in Prague, Elizabeth produced and edited documentaries in Washington DC. Prior to T&F Elizabeth ran Freestyle Collective as Executive Producer growing the interactive department. During her tenure at Trollback + Company, Kiehner rose from producer to executive producer helming award-winning print, broadcast and film work. Elizabeth was also an agency producer at EURO RSCG in Chicago and Suissa Miller in LA.
Scott Matz
Scott graduated with high honors from the Graphics & Packaging Program at Pasadena's ArtCenter College of Design. As a designer at 3 Ring Circus, Scott developed projects from concept to completion for over six years. Scott also worked at Riot, Troika, Brand New School, Motion Theory, Trollback + Co., The Ebeling Group, and most recently, Scott was a Creative Director at Loyalkaspar.
Justin Meredith
Justin attended the Savannah College of Art and Design with high honors in their Motion Graphic and Graphic Design Program. After designing at Trollback + Company, he took a position as Art Director with The Ebeling Group. Justin has worked with a wide range of clients including Xbox 360, Sony, Conservation International, Nike, Nissan, TBS and TNT.
The NYC Motion Graphics Users Organization is a non-profit group of artists, designers, and compositors in the film, TV, and web industry who meet once a month to share works, ideas, and learn about new technologies in our industry.
