Taking on a sustainable stance, the iconic Swedish furniture store advocates for saving food instead of tossing it away.
As a family gets rid of the last of the leftovers, giant pieces of food rain down on a young boy as he races home. With the seminal Christmas noel, Carol of the Bells, in the background, the child runs through Swiss cheese and avoids falling foodstuffs as he attempts to get home to stop the Waste.
Great Guns’ Ilya Naishuller directed the spot, produced by ALFA. The piece for IKEA places emphasis on marketing with a message, encouraging viewers to save excess food, especially around the holidays, when it feels like there’s a new party every weekend.
