There were 166 nominees from four regional festivals ADFEST, FIAP, Golden Drum and ADC*E competing for 37 trophies and one Grand CUP.

This young show with a superstar Jury is designed to bring the smaller market places to the fore, with all entrants coming from regional shows (London and the USA excluded). It’s a chance for the best of the rest to be judged amongst their peers. Michael Conrad: “If a festival is as good as its jury, this jury is the best one that we could gather.”

To select the winning spots, the jury presided by Michael Conrad, used the central reason of the festival, the ‘Genius Loci,' exalting the local values of each piece. This allowed local work that may fall flat in international shows to be judged on its abilty to work locally rather than globally.

Toni Segarra, Vice-President and Creative Director of S.C.P.F. commented that the selection of the winners 'had been easier because the jury was composed by professionals from all over the world who explained the local concept of each area.'

Although this is a young show and lacks the background of its bigger and older cousins, it remains a great concept -- surely a permanent fixture for the yearly calendar.
