Jelly signs Jordan Robertson to Futures roster
A Northerner residing in East London, Robertson takes short-lived moments from ordinary scenes, deconstructing them into graphic, textural takes on the everyday, staring at anything long enough until it becomes interesting.
New York and London based animation production company and illustration agency Jelly
Futures is a selection of fresh talent on the Jelly roster who – generally – are just starting out in the industry. The Jelly team nurture and offer them a route to a commercial art career with the reassurance of management by their trusted experience.
Having launched Futures years ago, Jelly are incredibly excited at how much talk there is about supporting young talent and diversifying pathways into the industry. With Futures, the team at Jelly try to break the cycle of expecting an artist to have done most of the groundwork themselves before they are in a position to find an agent. Management work alongside the artists from the start to help be the catalyst to a regular or higher-profile client base earlier on in their career.
Earmarking them separately to the rest of the ‘main’ roster can take the pressure off the artist to have a fully formed folio with big brand association. As Futures, Jelly are putting the spotlight on the up-and-coming artist - letting the world know Jelly thinks they’re going to be ones to watch.
