Los Films, the commercial production arm of multidisciplinary creative studio Los York, has signed Kareem Rahma for commercial representation.

Known for his viral series Subway Takes and Keep the Meter Running, Rahma brings a distinctive comedic voice and a track record of creating culturally resonant content across platforms.

Best known for interviewing New York city cab drivers and subway riders in his signature man-on-the-street style, Rahma recently directed UPS Business Trips, a branded series produced in partnership with The Martin Agency. The multi-episode campaign reimagines his cab format by featuring UPS drivers taking Rahma to visit small businesses across the US.

Rahma has directed or co-directed the majority of his own content and has already collaborated with brands including H&M, Urban Outfitters, KOTN, J.Crew, and finance app Leveler. He has also co-directed a viral campaign for creative collaboration platform Air, where he has held the tongue-in-cheek title of “Chief Imagination Officer”.

Before turning to directing full-time, Rahma worked at Vice as Director of Marketing, producing branded content for Coca-Cola, Intel, and W Hotels. His shift into commercial directing is a natural progression, reflecting both his hands-on production experience and his evolving creative output.

“A lot of people wake up wanting to be directors,” says Rahma. “After making thousands of hours of content, films, sketches, stand-up, and building two successful series, I hadn’t seriously considered it until Chris Abitbol asked. It was a lightbulb moment. Los Films offers the right space to expand my creative world—bringing humour, irreverence, and originality to branded work.

Chris Abitbol, Head of Film at Los Films, adds: “Kareem frames the world in a way that feels effortless and brilliant. His work consistently hits the zeitgeist, making people laugh while capturing something essential. He’s not just creating content—he’s shaping culture in real time. That’s exactly the kind of director Los Films was built for.”

In addition to his commercial work, Rahma continues to build an on-screen career. He starred in the 2024 feature film Or Something, directed by Jeffrey Scotti Schroeder, and wrote, produced, and performed in Out of Order, directed by Nicolas Heller, which premiered at the Tribeca Festival in 2022. He also produced and executive produced Miracle Fishing: Kidnapped Abroad and Ferguson Rises, both Tribeca selections. He has received three Webby nominations for Best Longform Comedy, Best Short Form Comedy, and Best Individual Performance.

Rahma and the entire Los Films roster are represented on the East and West Coasts by Simpatico, in the Midwest by SG+P Reps, and for multicultural work by Momentum.
