Knucklehead Signs Holly Blakey
The famed choreographer, who recently turned her hand to directing, has been snatched up by Knucklehead.
Knucklehead are delighted to announce their latest signing - internationally renowned choreographer-turned-director HOLLY BLAKEY.
Famed for her work choreographing live shows and promos for performers such as Florence and the Machine, Ellie Goulding, Jungle and Will Young, HOLLY began directing less than a year ago but rapidly attracted attention for her stunning music videos for Gwilym Gold, Tourist and Wet.
HOLLY will be represented by Knucklehead for music promos, content and commercials globally.
“Holly is very much a Knucklehead director through and through. Her work has a incredibly strong voice and her film for Gwilym Gold literally blew us away” says Knucklehead’s Tim Katz. “As soon as we saw the first edit we were certain she was one of us. We can’t wait to see what she brings next”.
HOLLY says: "My aim is to make work that challenges and tests both the works context and its viewer. I want to make things that are beautiful, and chilling and uplifting and fun and terrifying and honest. After working as a choreographer with Knucklehead and witnessing the whole team showing support in how I wanted to create films with a different perspective, and noting that rather than scaring them seeming to excite them, I couldn't possibly resist.”
