Knucklehead Signs JJ Augustavo

Knucklehead welcomes Los Angeles based director Jon Jon “JJ” Augustavo to the roster.

JJ is an accomplished short, music video and commercial director living in Los Angeles, CA.

The Seattle born Filipino-American filmmaker started his career in the music video world, directing iconic visuals for Macklemore, Kygo, Shawn Mendes and many more.

In little time JJ began sweeping up the award circuit - creating quite the buzz with his directing chops - winning 3 MTV VMA's, earning a Grammy nod and collecting nearly 3 billion views online across his body of work.

From creating culturally iconic music videos, JJ has also become a regular in the ad trades garnering praise for his work with adidas, Puma, Playstation and Foot Locker – proving to be a force in the commercial world as well.

JJ signed to Knucklehead for US and UK representation in August of 2018.

“We are crazy excited to have JJ join our roster,” says Cathleen Kisich, Knucklehead’s LA Executive Producer. “We, of course, loved his work on first viewing but once we got to know him we realized he was, for sure, a Knucklehead at heart. We look forward to doing awesome things together.”

On finding his new home at Knucklehead, JJ hilariously adds the following statement, “Dope.”

JJ is slated to direct his first narrative feature in the upcoming year.
