Sharon Lew Takes on 89 Edit Duties

New York and Santa Monica-based post production company 89 Editorial has named Sharon Lew its new Managing Director.  Lew will be responsible for all facets of the day-to-day operations of the post house, as well as overseeing and working with West Coast Executive Producer Gail Butler.  She moves over to 89 Editorial from sister company Crossroads. Says Lew, "It is really a natural evolution for me.  I've represented these editors for so long, which has given me a really have a strong sense of where I can help take the company."  89 Edit principal Dan Lindau added, "Sharon and I are very much in sync on both the cultural and service aspects of the business.  Because of her continued responsibilities as Executive Producer at Crossroads, she's in the perfect position to offer unique sets of services, bundled or not." Lew has worked within the Crossroads family for her entire career, with only a short stint outside the company walls when she operated Lew & Company, her independent repping firm. Even then, she repped the Crossroads commercial division independently on the East Coast. "Sharon has worked with us for so long that it just seemed  natural that she’d take on a leadership role at 89 Edit," Lindau adds.  "Living within the brand for so long, and having true mastery of every major component of our business model, makes her the perfect fit for the new role."  89 Edit producer Juliet Conti will assume responsibility for 89 Edit's day-to-day operations under Lew’s direction.  Among recent jobs cut at the post shop are work for Geico and The Martin Agency, edited by Jordan Green, and Post cereal work out of Ogilvy & Mather, also edited by Green.  In addition, 89 Edit’s Chris Davis recently cut the latest music video for Pink
