GUILTY has announced that
Luci Schroder is joining their roster of Directors. With recent nominations for the Cannes Young Director Award, an award finalist in Direction for ‘
What will be’ – Quit Australia, Schroder brings a wealth of fresh experience.
Schroder’s versatile background in fine arts, textile design and philosophy may help explain her multilayered and almost palpable approach to the fabric of film, with notable commercials and music video clips under her multifaceted belt.
From the flamboyant surrealism of her Clip for Alpine Hands to the heart-wrenching naturalism of her much-lauded piece for Quit, Melbournite Schroder is already proving herself a force to be reckoned with. Add to this her hilariously unconventional work with renowned fashion photographer Nick Knight, as well as her participation in exhibitions from Paris to Melbourne, and you get a highly original artistic voice.
“We’re thrilled, of course, to have Luci with us now,” says
Rohan Timlock, EP at GUILTY. “We know we have the right resources to support her, and we look forward to an exciting and prolific future together.”
Says Schroder: “I can’t wait to start working with GUILTY! I feel their vision and merit matches mine, and I know we can create some fantastic stuff when we join forces.”
