Luma Launch welcomes Francis Pollara

Francis Pollara joins Santa Monica- and Melbourne-based visual effects studio Luma as special projects manager.

Pollara will be responsible for sourcing new business and tech start-up opportunities beyond just visual effects for the studio’s newly-launched venture capital branch Luma Labs. The Labs will offer internal and external resources such as mentorship and partnerships in a bid to secure new business opportunities.

Pollara previously worked as an indie commercial and music video producer for high-profile clients including Calvin Harris and Gatorade, earning him countless awards and recognition. He has also worked as an entrepreneur and start-up advisor in various industries, which will prove invaluable to locating new investments in technology and ideas for the Labs. Luma has created visual effects for major Hollywood films including Captain America, No Country for Old Men and Crash.
