Caroline Koning will be joining new-land for representation in the UK and Scandinavia.
Production company new-land announce they have signed Caroline Koning to the roster.
Koning is a Dutch director with a wealth of experience from the world fashion to the craft of directing and filmmaking. With a degree from the Amsterdam Fashion Institute, the award-winning and multi-disciplinary talent broke out with a striking fashion film for lingerie brand Love Stories which was quickly featured on Nowness and as Vimeo Staff Pick, firmly securing her the title of “director to watch”.
Since her trailblazing start, Koning has established an impressive portfolio of films for fashion and luxury brands including Loewe, Scotch & Soda, Wrangler and Lynk &Co. Earlier this year, Koning directed a spot for Nike titled New Girl that highlights gender inequality in Japan, placing particular focus on changing the association of inherently male dominated spaces, while adding an overarching layer of female empowerment. The dynamic film sees girls and women stepping into a sumo ring, playing baseball, and dominating the business room; all crafted with cinematic aesthetics, theatrical design, and an exhilarating pace.

A completely self-taught director, Koning’s work embodies a sense of natural curiosity, paired with a poetic, honest yet stylised tone. She is not a stranger to the creative process, often dipping into the writing aspect of shaping a story, having written and developed the script for both Wrangler’s In Case Things Go South and the i-D x Loewe collaboration Love is Enough focusing on bringing the legacy of William Morris to life. It is this delicate yet considered approach to filmmaking and this authentic, natural rawness that makes Koning an exceptional and inspiring addition to the new-land family.
