Dust is the newest short film from director Renato Cabral at Delicatessen Filmes.
Shooting for the film took place in the United States over the course of six days. Leo Kawabe was responsible as the Director of Photography. The soundtrack was conceived by producers Zé Godoy and Pedro Jaguaribe of Carbono Sound Lab. Serginho Palsqulino Jr from Bleach Post signs off on post-production coloring.
The equipment for the film counted on the Anamorphic Primes Orion Series lenses in a partnership with Atlas Lens Co., becoming the first narrative film to use these lenses.
"Dust" is a short film that mixes poetry and visual drama to tell the story of Zen and Brooke; two souls connected by the same pain. Between the sky and the salt beds lies a world of dust; where sometimes, what is left is either death or a reminder of it.
The reasons for choosing death are not always clear, but we can look deeper into the human vessels that reach this threshold.
