Pitch Appoints Evelyn Borgatta To Vice President Of Account, A First For The Agency
As the agency’s first-ever Vice President of Account, Evelyn will play a key role in overseeing Pitch’s current clients.
Pitch, a Project Worldwide agency, has appointed Evelyn Borgatta to Vice President of Account, effective immediately. This news comes on the heels of Sara Bamossy’s recent promotion from Chief Strategy Officer to President, strengthening the agency’s female leadership team, led by Rachel Spiegelman, Chief Executive Officer.
As the agency’s first-ever Vice President of Account, Evelyn will play a key role in overseeing Pitch’s current clients, including Westfield Malls, Burger King, Tim Hortons, Konami, Quicken Loans, San Manuel Casino, Roche, and Microsoft’s MileIQ, to foster the most innovative and strategic work. She will also be responsible for new business efforts, as well as growing and mentoring the Pitch team. Evelyn will report directly to Rachel.
“It’s an honor and a pleasure to have Evelyn join the Pitch team,” said Rachel. “Her level of experience and passion for the industry, along with her strategic thinking and leadership skills, will be extremely advantageous to Pitch’s culture and clients. She’ll play a critical role in growing our client relationships and creating ROI-driven work.”
“I’ve worked in male-dominated industries throughout my career, and I’ve generally been the only female in the room during new client pitches,” said Evelyn. “So I was immediately attracted to this position at Pitch because of the opportunity to be part of a female-led executive team. Rachel and Sara are strategic thinkers and great leaders, and they’ve created a culture of empowerment at Pitch. I’m excited to work with their talented team, while helping to grow Pitch’s relationships with its clients.”
Prior to Pitch, Evelyn was Head of Client Services at Red Bull’s agency, Kastner & Partners, in its LA office, working on the brand’s famously unconventional marketing. There, she also led all client business and new business acquisitions. Previously, she was Partner, Group Account Director at Ogilvy & Mather in LA where she led the BP account and won the TABASCO business for the agency against 126 other agencies. Evelyn got her start in the ad business at TBWAChiatDay and worked on its largest account at the time, Nissan, on the award-winning campaign, “Enjoy the Ride.” She was also an integral part of the brand’s corporate turnaround with the launch of the “Product Vision” campaign, and she also led the 2000 Maxima launch, the most successful in Nissan’s history, which led to Nissan selecting her for its core positioning team.
