Plan A's sweet animated spot for Vinamilk

Production company Plan A has launched this vibrant mixed-media spot for Vietnamese Milk brand, Vinamilk. 

To make the story come alive, Korean director HEO MIN combined real-life footage with hand-drawn 2D animation, as if colouring the world with crayons while keeping it realistic. The team wanted to make sure the milk didn’t look too flat or “cartoony,” so every swirl and pour from the carton was animated with care, flowing in a way that felt natural and organic. 

Watching the commercial feels like opening a picture book that suddenly starts to move. One page shows real sunlight and green fields, the next bursts with doodles and lines that dance across the screen. The live-action and 2D animation hold hands, creating a film that feels both whimsical and warm.
