Together Thomas Hofman and Bram Coppens launch KARAT, a new audiovisual production company.
Bram Coppens is an internationally acclaimed director known for his visual narrative style. He directed, amongst others, worldwide commercials for brands such as Adidas, Jeep and Chevrolet, and campaigns for the Superbowl and the World Cup.
Thomas Hofman worked as a Producer and Executive Producer at the production companies Hamlet and Caviar. He has produced international campaigns on various continents for advertisers and brands such as Coca-Cola, Samsonite, Oppo, Ikea and AB Inbev.
Coppens and Hofman met each other almost 15 years ago and worked together on various international projects. They strongly believe a director's and producer's vision and know-how combined generates added value in approaching a production and in guiding talent.
KARAT accommodates an unconventional mix of local and international talent in directing, photography and more.
Together with its creative partners, KARAT wants to be an added value for communication agencies and advertisers who want to translate their stories into audiovisual content in an inspiring way.
KARAT surpasses the classic film and photo production. With the label KRTDX -Curated By- boundaries of art forms are broken and collaborations are forged between (KARAT) artists and brands. KRTDX is a record label, a curator, a design studio and far more.
The name KARAT refers to the work of an artist who questioned the value of gold by wrapping it in thick, black rubber. Black Rubber Wrapped Gold. The essence is the core, pure and solid.
KARAT launches in Belgium, the Netherlands and the United Arab Emirates.
