The shots Awards Europe, which celebrates and highlights the best work from across the continent, will not take place in 2020.

Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and the inability for people to come together in large numbers, shots feels it is right to hold off on this year's event and, instead, concentrate on 2021.

While the shots Awards The Americas will still take place in April of next year as an online event, the sincere hope is that by the tail end of 2021 we will be able to celebrate together, in person. So as not to miss out on the fantastic work that has been produced, and is still being produced, since the Europe awards in 2019, the 2021 awards, once the entires open mid-next year, will include work from September 1st 2019 through to August 31st 2021.

"The shots Awards Europe has been a huge part of the shots calendar for the past 10 years, an event at which we can celebrate the amazing work of which this industry is capable," said James Straker, Managing Director of shots. "While fantastic creative work is still being made, we have decided to roll the 2020 event into next year in the very real hope that, by then, the industry will be able to come together to celebrate in person."

More details about the shots Awards The Americas and shots Awards Europe for 2021 will be released in due course.

With this year's event, like most other advertising events across the world, cancelled, shots is, instead, partnering with the APA in London for a special Top 20 of 2020 showcase, which will be free to enter and which will be announced in more detail next week.
