Slim Pictures Signs Director Pepe Puenzo
Possessing an eye for creating sweeping, cinematic visuals as well as crafting quirky comedic narratives, Slim Pictures' director Pepe Puenzo poses a double-threat behind the lens.
Slim Pictures Signs Director Pepe Puenzo

Argentinean-born Pepe Puenzo joins Slim Pictures with a body of work in the commercial realm that includes spots for Coca-Cola, Johnny Walker, Burger King, Verizon, CA Lottery and VH1 to his credit. Apart from his commercial work, Puenzo has also helmed the comedic short "Mas Adelante."
A versatile filmmaker, Puenzo brings his gift for visuals to both comedies and dramatic manifestos internationally, with work in English, Spanish, Chinese and Russian. He has helmed several comedy-driven campaigns for CP+B with Burger King’s “Pollo Perfecto” and “Sin Manos,” as well as the Belvita spot “Sloth No More,” which depicts the notoriously lazy mammal reinventing itself as an unstoppable multi-tasker after enjoying the energizing effects of Belvita crackers.
Puenzo's attention to cinematic detail can be traced to his background as a student of philosophy at the National Institute of Film and Video Arts in Argentina. The hankering of creativity within him eventually led Puenzo toward filmmaking full-time. Gaining experience in film and advertising, first as a camera operator, Puenzo soon made the jump into the director's chair himself.
