APA's Masterson Joins SourceEcreative as Global Business Development Director, Blackburn Named Latin American Sales Representative

SourceEcreative has appointed Nicki Masterson to the new post of Global Business Development Director. Masterson joins SourceEcreative from the London-based Advertising Producers Association (APA), the trade organization of commercial production, post production, music and visual effects companies in the UK.
Also joining SourceEcreative is Graciela Blackburn, who has been named Sales Representative for Latin America. An experienced sales and marketing professional, Blackburn comes to SourceEcreative from Universal Language Corp., where she handled translation and interpretation for agencies of the US government, including the Immigration and Naturalization Service and the FBI.
Masterson will be based in a new SourceEcreative Amsterdam office, housed in the offices of that city's Glassworks Amsterdam post production shop; Blackburn is based in the SourceEcreative headquarters in Boca Raton, Florida. The new additions were announced by James Straker, Managing Director of SourceEcreative, who heads up the company's office in London and oversees sales and marketing outside the US.
"Nicki brings a wealth of knowledge about our industry to SourceEcreative, as well as a deep list of contacts," says Straker. "And Graciela's language and communications skills will be invaluable to our continued growth in that region. I'm looking forward to working closely with both as we continue to expand the SourceEcreative brand globally."
Prior to joining APA, which she did in 2003, Masterson worked for several London-based production companies, including 2am Films and @radical.media. During her time at APA she played a key role, working under Chief Executive Steve Davies, in helping extend the group's reach abroad as it represented the talents and skills of the London production community. Most recently, she managed APA's partnership with the UK government's Trade & Investment office to organize trade missions, seminars and forums in Tokyo, Shanghai, Beijing and Mumbai.
"I'm excited about the opportunity to help lead SourceEcreative into its next chapter," Masterson says. "We intend to continue adding value for our new and existing members alike by building on what is already a strong and in many ways, unique proposition."
Regarding her new post at SourceEcreative, Masterson sees it as a continuation of the marketing and development work she undertook at APA. "Being the number one search tool for ad agencies to find the right creative resources to execute their ideas, SourceEcreative is an ideal venue for production companies to promote their talents and extend their reach through a virtual, international presence," she notes.
