Directing duo SOB is the collaboration between Eseosa Ohen and Joe Shaw.

Coming from a Graphic Design background, they are making a name for themselves with their interdisciplinary work, built around sophisticated and emotive visuals.

Ohen and Shaw began creating together while studying at Central Saint Martins, and later honed their collective voice working at Modern Matter, which has been described as ‘the best magazine in London’. Working under Creative Director Olu Odukoya taught them the importance of ‘being yourself’, as opposed to worrying about what people think, and gave them the confidence to pursue their take on graphic moving image.

As SOB’s vision began to evolve, London-born soul singer Collard entrusted them full creative and artistic control for his debut album Unholy. This included album artwork, a suite of dream-like music videos, marketing and tour visuals. Collard said of the the on-going creative partnership: ‘Working with Joe and Sosa is an artistically consuming and meticulous process. They force me to think inside their world of design and quality. The two are obsessed with constant artistic evolution and without them inviting that obsession into my world the album would not have become what it is.’

Alongside their collaboration with Collard, SOB have also created promos for artists including 2021 BRIT award-winner Griff and genre-spanning singer and rapper Hendrix Harris, garnering widespread acclaim for their rich, textured and sophisticated visuals. Their multi- faceted output is helping the duo quickly become one of the UK’s most exciting up-and- coming prospects, with Hunger magazine tipping them as ‘set to be one of the biggest names in the creative industry.’

On signing to Spindle SOB said: "We’re excited to have Spindle as our new home. It’s a studio that shares our ambitions to create fresh, innovative and meaningful work whilst managing to care for people and the environment. It’s a perfect fit for us and we can’t wait to grow and create with their amazing team!"

Greg Hackett, Director / Founding Partner adds: "SOB are exactly what we’ve been looking for. They combine heightened visuals, with a true understanding of storytelling and their niche references are wildly creative. They want to make bold work, and we’re so excited to help them do that."
