Station Film Signs Scott Corbett, Alex Grossman and Jorgen Loof

Station Film has extended its roster to include directors Scott Corbett, Alex Grossman and Jorgen Loof. The signings signify the company's rapid expansion in the commercial arena since opening its doors only three years ago. The directors will access the UK market through Station's partnership with Academy Films in London.
"The timing couldn't be better," explains Station Film's Managing Partner Stephen Orent. "It was time to capitalize on our success in developing directors and build off of the momentum we've created. It's not about who can fill a certain niche here at Station, but who will have the most prolific long-term career. Scott, Alex and Jorgen all fit that bill with their own unique voices."
Corbett arrives at Station from Identity Media with a reel replete with dry and ironic comedy. A former copywriter at TBWA\Chiat\Day and davidandgoliath, his reel includes work for Altoids, Krazy Glue, Outdoor Life Network and Microsoft Xbox.
"We're lucky to have Scott," adds Station Film's Partner/EP Michael Di Girolamo. "Station has quickly become the go-to company for high end comedy and storytelling work. Scott's unique blend of art direction, photography and irreverent humor really makes him stand out. He has a very distinctive voice and everyone at Station was immediately drawn to his cinematic and off beat style."
His work includes the "Karate Chop" for Pillsbury Pizza Pop through Canada's Cossette Communications, one of a series of short spots for the calzone-type snack that went on to win a Silver Lion at Cannes.
Grossman also arrives at Station with an agency background, having worked at Goody, Silverstein & Partners and Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners before moving into a directing career.
The comedic website "Funny or Die" was Grossman's first foray in the directing arena before commercial production beckoned. He has since collected a plethora of Pencils, Gold Lions and Clios for his uniquely flavored work. Grossman's recent "Model vs Model" campaign for Nissan through TBWA\Chiat\Day, LA underlines his ability to work the comedic moment to his liking.
Swedish native Jorgen Loof rounds out the crop of new signings. A longtime still photographer and international director, he's shot memorable work for clients such as IKEA, Volvo, Libero, SAS, Nokia and Ericsson.
