Steve Johnsen Joins Antfood Amsterdam
He joins as Executive Producer at the recently opened Amsterdam office.
The creative audio studio, Antfood Music & Sound Design announced the hiring of Steve Johnsen. He joins as Executive Producer at the recently opened Amsterdam office, bringing his international expertise in music production for the worlds of brands, advertising, broadcast design and interactive.
For the past fourteen years, Johnsen worked at the MassiveMusic headquarter in Amsterdam as Music Producer and Brand & Marketing Manager. He was responsible for many music production projects and overall brand communications. In addition, Johnsen is an accomplished musician, DJ and music producer.
In recent months, Johnsen was active as a Music & Marketing Consultant and worked on music activation projects for clients such as Magnum and Shopworks. He also founded and runs the record label, Never Square Music.
In Late 2017, Antfood opened its European studio on the canals of Amsterdam, situated at the creative co-working space, The Wheelhouse. The company was founded by Wilson Brown in 2008 in New York and is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. Antfood has offices in New York, São Paulo and Amsterdam and is working for clients directly like Apple, Facebook, Google, Mitsubishi, Amazon and Emirates.

A few highlights on Antfood’s reel are David Blaine ‘Spectacle of the Real’, for which they did original composition, sound design and voice-over recording with Christopher Walken. Another project is ‘The Dream Machine’, a unique installation combining sound, smell, touch and sight. An example of how Antfood is producing music: ‘How The Sausage Gets Made (How to Make Music for Advertising)’.
