Studio Private brings Roberto Cavalli’s Serpentine campaign to life
A seamless fusion of luxury, technology and cinematic artistry for one of fashion’s most iconic houses.
London-based multidisciplinary post-production company Studio Private, renowned for integrating new technologies with the timeless craft of film and photography, delivers full end-to-end post-production for Luigi & Iango’s new campaign film for Roberto Cavalli: Serpentine.
Starring Natasha Poly, the campaign unfolds as a hypnotic dance between woman and serpent beneath a molten sunset sky, a visual metaphor for sensuality and the enduring allure of Cavalli’s luxury heritage. The film, directed by Luigi & Iango and with creative direction from Fausto Puglisi and Trey Laird, captures a surrealist celebration of sensual femininity and the enduring spirit and heritage of Cavalli. Further brought to life by Studio Private, the film’s hypnotic visual language was meticulously shaped through intricate post-production craft. From the fluid motion and reflective textures of liquid gold to the lifelike texture of the serpent’s scales and the sculptural warmth of the tones, every frame was finely balanced to capture the tactile luxury and sensuality that define Cavalli’s world.

Led by editor and VFX artist Louisiane Trotobas and colourist Nathaniel Skeels, Studio Private delivered the full edit, VFX, CGI development, and finishing in-house. The team also spearheaded the creation of the CGI serpent, developing its movement, texture and reflective gold tones to echo the sensual craftsmanship at the heart of the brand. The result is a captivating fusion of timeless fashion imagery with state-of-the-art post-production, balancing craftsmanship and innovation.
“Roberto Cavalli is a heritage luxury house with a deeply recognisable visual identity. Our goal was to respect that legacy while introducing new visual technologies that heighten the campaign’s sensuality and cinematic depth. By blending artistry with innovation, we were able to reimagine Cavalli’s codes for a new generation.” said Bianca Redgrave, Studio Private.
