The wearing of a poppy and pausing for two-minutes of silence on Remembrance Day has become something of a contentious issue in recent years, with some considering the practice too politicised.

In an attempt to re-humanise the act, and to give greater context to why people may choose to observe it, The Royal British Legion, through agency Cubaka, have created the compelling film, Pause.

Central to the piece is a terrific slice of performance poetry, authentically and abily performed by the engaging young protagonist. Capturing the rendition is Tinderflint's Harriet Macdonald, whose deft touch and engrossing choices make this a film, and cause, worth thinking over.
