Baseball -- America’s pastime -- full of legends and heroes as well as a vast array of nameless players, major and minor leaguers alike.  With a field of international players vying for a finite number of major league positions, there are equally an endless number of dashed plans, hopes, and dreams.  But with the advent of reality television, comes a new program that will give recognition to at least six newcomers trying to make their way to the big time.

Enter president & CEO of Shoot & Move Media, Sam Ciaramitaro, whose company creates original branded content for network and cable television.  Well versed in the world of advertising, he has also worked with such notable clients as Reebok, United Airlines, Allstate, McDonald’s, Proctor & Gamble, and Def Jam Records. Prior to founding Shoot and Move Media, Ciaramitaro spent seven years at the prestigious advertising agency Leo Burnett, where he was awarded a Lion at Cannes for his work on the Army of One campaign.  Nowadays, Ciaramitaro can be found in Chicago, working as a senior producer at FCB Worldwide.

But it is Ciaramitaro’s project of late that has him feeling quite passionate about the boys of summer.  This labor of love, in association with Al Roker Entertainment and MLB Productions, has the EP/director producing a baseball docu-reality series to air on the MOJO Hi-Def Network.  The program entitled, “The Show” chronicles the emotional stories of the lives of six minor league Triple A Tucson Sidewinders players as each one attempts to win a spot on the roster of the Major League Arizona Diamondbacks.  Raw and emotional, "The Show" gives viewers an inside look into the almost impossible feat of making it to the big leagues.

Narrated by actor Joe Mantegna, the series is articulated with grace and heft.  Transcending baseball, "The Show" is about going for “it” no matter what, even when everyone tells you ‘no’ and the odds are stacked against you.  Offering insights into the strengths and vulnerabilities of each individual, the series will resonate with anyone who’s ever fought for a dream.

The series begins airing May 30th at 10PM (ET/PT).  But we offer you up a glimpse into the making of the series as Ciaramitaro takes a “Reel Moment” to tell us how it was done.
