The Young Arrows has announced the winners and finalists of the 2025 awards to celebrate the best work from emerging talent in the UK moving image advertising industry.

The Young Arrows presented 21 awards across a range of categories, including production, sound design, music video direction and VFX in a thrilling show in central London’s HERE at Outernet, hosted by Reggie Yates. Now in the fourth year, the awards were completely free-to-enter for the second time, removing the financial barrier that often blocks emerging talent from entering. The result of the free-to-enter initiative saw a record-breaking number of entries submitted to this year’s competition.

Notable winners included: Junior Agency Producer for Izzy Woods for London Sport, More Ball Games Production Company Producer for Luca Chapman for Gucci, The Gucci Lido Campaign New Director – Production Company for Caleb Femi for EE, Internet, Playdate New Director – Unsigned for Joseph Morel for The Film & TV Charity, Break the Cycle Student Commercial of the Year and winner of the neverland Internship for Esme Lane Fox for Beauty Banks, UK Charity Fighting Hygiene Poverty, The Interview.

Simon Cooper, Chair of the British Arrows says: “As the only UK awards dedicated to every discipline of moving image advertising, the Young Arrows holds a unique place in our industry. Keeping entry free and continuing to expand its reach remain central to the British Arrows’ mission.”

Jury Co-Chair,Jane Dilworth, Owner and Executive Producer at Work, comments: “For the last twenty years, probably the most rewarding side of my job has been seeing young talent emerging and being a part of that growth. From runners and assistants becoming incredible editors, young directors working at nights pro bono to then be the superstars of our business and young creative producers who get to the top of their game and often starting their own place! The Young Arrows really epitomise this. It’s a mountain to climb for anyone trying to get ahead in this business so; to have this wonderful free entry awards that can give a voice and a platform to young talent is truly fabulous.”

Jury Co-Chair, James Guy, Chief Production Officer at Uncommon Creative Studio adds: “It has genuinely been a real privilege to co-chair the Young British Arrows this year, and to work with the lovely Jane Dilworth and bring together such an exceptional jury to judge the work. What struck me most throughout the process was the energy, originality, and fearlessness that shone through the entries. The Young Arrows are not just about recognising emerging talent; they are a reminder of the vibrancy and future of our industry.”

The Bolt Award, launched in honour of well-known advertising production figure, Barney Richard, was awarded to music video director duo Folkert Verdoorn and Simon Becks for Cero Ismael, Driving Round Looking For Unknown. Isabella Parish from All of Us Here, remarked: “The film is playful, thoughtful, surprising and beautifully made, and Barney would have absolutely loved it.”

The not-for-profit Young Arrows Awards had a sparkling team of young talent curating the awards; from production to sound, social media and visuals, the latter designed entirely by recent motion designer graduate, Jorom Simpson, and supported by British Arrows’ Creative Director, Michael Lenz.

Motion design graduate, Jorom Simpson, says: “What a fantastic journey this has been. From dealing with a ruptured Achilles tendon during the first weeks of this project to having drinks on the rooftop terrace at Framestore, this has been a project I would not have dreamed of participating in, let alone directing. Being invited to create the visual style of the 4th instalment of Young Arrows is an honour and gives me the confidence to strive for even higher achievements and projects in my career as a creative motion designer.”

The Young Arrows Awards will return in 2026 for its fifth-year anniversary with entries opening in May.
