Emmy Award-winning Director Lee Farber and Wondros Collective shot an extensive PSA campaign for Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C) and Rally Health earlier this year.

Entitled Make The Healthy Call, the new spots raise awareness for cancer prevention and screening. Launched this fall, but rolling out into 2021, the new campaign features celebrated sports casters James Brown, Bill Cowher, Charles Barkley and Ernie Johnson.

The campaign launched this fall with broadcast, print and digital PSA’s featuring CBS’ James Brown and Bill Cowher, as well as digital and print PSAs featuring TNT’s Charles Barkley and Ernie Johnson, with additional PSAs to follow in 2021. In addition to highlighting everyday ways to reduce cancer risk, the campaign drives the pubic to www.TakeAHealthyStand.org to take a pledge to get screened for cancer.

Filmmaker and storyteller Lee Farber joined Wondros Collective in the New Year 2020 after years of writing and directing comedy for television (The Soup, The Wayne Brady Show) and feature films. “Lee signed with us in January and immediately, we had this project for him collaborating with the global agency side of Wondros,” explains Senior EP Danielle Peretz of Wondros Collective. “Lee has extensive experience shooting celebrity talent, so we knew he was the perfect Director to take on this expansive PSA campaign.”

“I signed with Wondros Collective with the understanding that it would take a while for the right campaign to come in for me to direct,” explains Director Lee Farber. “But in a matter of weeks, they presented me with this incredible opportunity from Stand Up To Cancer. The creative was really funny, it had a terrific message, and it was a chance to work with celebrities that are literally twice my height. I mean, I’m used to working with famous people, just, you know, regular-sized famous people. That being said, everyone involved put their heart and soul into bringing these spots to life, and I hope they make a difference in the fight against cancer, a disease I wish on almost no one.”

Farber is currently in post-production on Expedition Back To The Future, a four-part series for Discovery he wrote and directed. Part comedy narrative, part documentary, it stars screen legend Christopher Lloyd and Discovery Channel’s Josh Gates as they go in search of the original DeLoreans used in the making of the Back To The Future movies, taking them on a journey across the country and through the history of the famed franchise. It features some very special surprise appearances from the films, and will premiere in early 2021.
