Made entirely from hand-painted monoprints, the film is a frame-by-frame animation created over several months. Each frame was transferred onto tracing paper, building a rhythmic visual language that mirrors the emotional shifts in the track. The result is a meditative, analog response to an electronic composition—blurring the line between moving image and fine art.
Clouds come and go. They change from one shape to another, always in transition into something new. We read them as we want. We see in them what we need.
There’s a human need to build stories around things we don’t understand. I wanted to talk about absence from this point of view, following the thoughts of a younger brother left behind, who imagines the older travelling around to capture the clouds.
This story is about how we are all connected to storytelling, about how we all need to find meaning in chaos, and how it can save us. It’s about loss, acceptance, and at the end, rebirth as well.
