One Day Like This

Director Ringan Ledwidge explains how he came to direct the new promo for Elbow:

"The kid spinning was something I'd wanted to shoot for a few years. I'd always see them spinning in LA as I drove on La Cienega to the airport. They were were surrounded by traffic, noise and concrete and had turned one of the most mundane jobs in the world into something beautiful that I found inspiring. A job in LA cancelled at the last moment so I thought I'd go, find a kid and a camera and shoot him. I came back cut it to a track I thought had the right feeling and sent it to a mate at Universal who loved it. Elbow saw it and thought it would be great for the track and to me it felt like a perfect match."
