Beattie McGuinness Bungay have taken on former commercials director Duncan Jones. Jones, at Traffik for the past two years, joins the agency with a roving creative role that will include scriptwriting and directing.
Quiet Storm creative director and co-chairman of the IPA Ethnic Diversity Group Trevor Robinson has been appointed as a patron of the Screen Nation Foundation. The Foundation, established by Screen Nation Film and TV Awards, is made up of black British film and TV professionals and aims to enrich the cultural mix of the British media industry, especially within the film and TV sectors.
Director Trevor Cornish has signed with TWC for exclusive US commercials representation. Cornish has been directing spots for five years, primarily in his native Canada, and is signed to Spy Films there. The comedy director scooped a gold at the One Show earlier this year, and landed a place in this year's shots Grand Prix, for his BC Lions spot Vending Machine for Rethink in Canada.
Crispin Porter + Bogusky have taken on newlywed producers Keith and Susanna Rose. Both were formerly at Mullen, having worked as head of production and producer respectively.
Brett Foraker, creative director of Channel 4's in-house agency 4Creative, has signed to Wanda productions in Paris for commercials representation for France. He recently shot a series of idents for Channel 4 that featured in shots 87, and won a coveted black pencil at this year's D&AD awards.
Production company mister boomboom has signed Greg Kadel to the company's roster. Photographer and director Kadel's work has graced the covers of high fashion magazines including Vogue, Numero and Harper's Bazaar.
Fashion photographer James White has signed with A Band Apart for exclusive representation for commercials and music videos. The agreement is White's first for live action work. White has recently shot fashion magazine covers with Lindsay Lohan, Mischa Barton and Angelina Jolie as well as a host of other celebrities.
Teamarmstrong, the newly founded commercials department of Stockholm based Armstrong Film has just signed Marcus Engstrand. Engstrand was formerly directors assistant for Amir Chamdin of Renck Akerlund Films where he will continue to do promos.
Suburban Films in South Africa have signed Mark Bethune for commercials representation. Working out of Canada, Bethune is repped by Serious Pictures in the UK, and is yet to shoot his first broadcast spot. He has shot spec commercials however for Monster and Trojan Condoms.
Effects house Steele has announced the addition of lead CG Artist Jason Shulman and graphics and animation designer Michael White. Among Shulman and White's initial assignments for Steele are a Pepsi Smash spot for Yahoo! and the instant-hit ad Juicy for ABC's Desperate Housewives, directed by Matthew Rolston.
