Nice Shirt films will be repping Australian director Sean Meehan for UK commercials representation. After a successful career as a DP, Meehan started up Soma films in Australia two and half years ago and has since worked on Shell, Volkswagen and Qantas.
Believe in London has signed new directing team Black Shark for commercials representation. Blackshark, made up of James Kibbey, Richard Heald and Tristan Goligher, met at university. The trio have shot a number of award winning short films, music videos and are working on a test commercial for Becks.
Senior creative team Brian Cooper and Jason Stewart have joined McCann Erickson in London from St Luke's, where they worked on, among other projects, COI and Magic FM for 18 months. Before that they worked at BBH, featuring way back on shots 39 while there for their Lynx work.
Kim Albright, formerly of Method Films, has joined Thomas Thomas Films as director's representative for Kevin Thomas and Jim Gilchrist.
Dante Piacenza, formerly an executive producer at Y&R New York, and Lydia Holness, who was an associate producer at Spontaneous, have joined the VFX and Design division of Version2.
Design and effects company Stardust has added senior animator and VFX specialist Cary Janks to its staff. Janks, whose initial projects with the studio include Bud Light and Pepsi will be based in New York.
Strongroom Studios in London has hired Matt Ward as technical manager and Linda Dixon to the post of studio booker/receptionist.
