Moves this week at O&M, Fallon London, Plum, Imaginary Forces, Brand New School and The Mill
Alasdair Graham has been appointed as the fifth creative partner at O&M. Graham, former deputy creative director of TBWALondon, joins the other creative partners, Dennis Lewis, Neil Dawson, Greg Burke and Richard Russell, all reporting to Malcolm Poyton. Graham worked on PlayStation's Fun Anyone? campaign during his seven years at TBWA, as well as Volkswagen while at BMP DDB Needham.
Sony Balls creative Juan Cabral has been promoted to the position of creative director at Fallon London along with fellow creative Micah Walker. The move sees creative directors Andy McLeod and Richard Flintham become executive creative directors. Although both will continue to work across a variety of accounts, Cabral will head up Sony and Walker will take over Orange, which the agency recently won from Mother.
Plum Productions has signed director Gavin Bowden for commercials. Bowden started out in music videos for artists including Rage Against the Machine, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Ben Folds and Match Box 20 before moving into commercials, directing for Nike, Levi's, GMC, Ford and VH1. Since joining Plum he has shot for Toyota and Wal Mart. Plum has also hired executive producer Beth Pearson, an industry veteran of 17 years, who teams up with executive producer Shelby Sexton.
Mark Gardner has joined Imaginary Forces in New York for commercials representation. Gardner was most recently at Kemistry, a London-based design and branding shop, and has directed spots and idents for MTV3, ITV2 and Duaza Televisio.
Brand New School has hired Dan Sormani as head of production, working out of the company's New York office. Sormani was most recently senior producer at Stardust, where he had been since 2003. Before that Sormani was a producer for Crispin Porter+Bogusky, Los Angeles and Lowe Worldwide in New York where he worked with clients and agencies including: Verizon, GM, Sony Music, ABC, MTV, VH1, Sheraton, Burger King, McDonald's, Dasani, Fanta, NY Knicks, Bombay Sapphire, BBDO, McCann-Erickson, Ogilvy, Deutsch, and Amalgamated.
The Mill London has hired Gilbert James as a senior 3D producer. James joins the Mill team from MPC where he had been working on the film team having previously worked in commercials. James's recent film credits include Troy, Alexander, Corpse Bride and Around the World in 80 Days. He is currently producing spots for Coca-Cola (Powerade), Land Rover, Lynx and Tango.
