Moxie Pictures has signed director Lenard Dorfman for US commercial and music video representation. Dorfman, who comes from MJZ, has just completed a high-profile global campaign for UPS, starring Jean Reno, as well as lensing spots for Vodafone, Volkswagen and Guinness.
Dorfman is also the first signing to Daniel Kleinman and Ringan Ledwidge's as yet unnamed new company for the UK and Europe along with producer Adam Lyne.
Saville Productions has signed European action commercials and documentary director Joachim Hellinger (Helli) for exclusive US representation. He has recently shot commercials for Royal Caribbean Cruises for Arnold in Boston, Oakley, Oxygen, Samsung and Red Bull as well as award-winning documentaries Pure, Sacred Wave, Angels of Gravity and Live your Dreams.
Bikini Films has signed comedy director Jonty Toosey. Toosey has shot for brands including BMW, Nickelodeon, Hula Hoops, Skittles and MTV. He recently co-wrote and directed Sheila's Wheels and is currently in post-production on another Surf project through BBH. Toosey was formerly with Lucky Elliot.
Director Matthew Judd has signed to 76ltd for commercials representation. Formerly with Believe, Judd's sponsorship idents for throat sweets Lockets recently won bronze at the Creative Circle.
Feel Films has signed director Grant Gilbert for commercials. Gilbert is best known for directing channel identities, promos and sponsorship titles and has already shot his first commercial at Feel for O2, airing now.
Love has signed Paris-based commercials director Vincent Jerome for UK representation. Jerome will join the roster at Love alongside Ben Dawkins, Jake Knowles, Louisa Fitch, Philip Dupee, Richard Carroll and Peter Webber. Jerome is best known for his work on luxury brands, including Very Irresistible for Givenchy starring Liv Tyler. In other Love news, Webber, who directed the feature Girl with a Pearl Earring, will be represented in Paris by Bandits Production along with Jerome.
Los Angeles agency 72andSunny has hired Sam Baerwald as head of film production. Baerwald moves to 72andSunny after a ten-year stint at TBWAChiatDay, Los Angeles, where he was a producer on campaigns for brands including Sony PlayStation, ABC, Taco Bell, Nissan, Apple and Nike, working with directors including Errol Morris, Lance Acord, and Rocky Morton.
Curious Pictures has signed Toronto-based motion graphics and animation shop Electric Company for US representation. The Electric Company's roster is: iamstatic, Play Airways, Crankbunny, Kangaroo Alliance, Steve McArdle and James Paterson who between them have worked with agencies including TAXI, Downtown Partners, reThink, John Street and Lowe/Roche in Canada and Goody Silverstein & Partners, Fallon Worldwide and Wieden + Kennedy in the US.
