Bartle Bogle Hegarty New York has hired Paul Bickler as digital creative director. He joins the agency from Strawberry Frog where he was executive creative director of interactive.
Jeremy Preston, the head of the Advertising Association's food advertising unit in the UK, is stepping down. Preston, who was appointed in 2003, has recently been championing the food and drink industry in response to Ofcom's recommendations to limit advertising aimed at children in a bid to counter the increase in obesity in children.
Therapy director Guy Manwaring has signed to Spy Films for Canadian representation. As well as work for Reality TV, Doritos and Wrigleys, he has recently finished a Mentos campaign featured in the forthcoming issue of shots.
Right Brain Media has signed director Richard Yelland for US commercials representation. Yelland started on the agency side at JWT and then Kirschenbaum Bond and Partners as a creative working for clients including Snapple, Coca-Cola and Rockport. Yelland has already finished his first project for Right Brain, a PSA for the Life Rolls On Foundation.
Art director and set designer Rachel Thomas has signed to Not To Scale as a director. Goldsmiths graduate Thomas is best known for her set designs for Goldfrapp's album Supernature. She is already directing three spots for Euro RSCG Fuel.
The Sweet Shop New York has signed director Kathi Prosser for commercials. Prosser comes to the company from Chelsea, where she shot spots for brands including MAC, AT&T and Target.
Features director F Gary Gray, who has shot The Negotiator, The Italian Job remake and Get Shorty sequel Be Cool, has signed to @radical.media in the US for commercials and music videos.
Digital agency VCCP Digital has hired Claudine Allen as head of production. Allen joins VCCP from Profero, where she was head producer, working on campaigns for Avis, Black and Decker and Channel 4 among others. Prior to Profero, Allen was at WCRS.
Lucy Jackson has joined Wanted Films as a director's agent. Jackson comes to Wanted from Flame TV where she was a current affairs researcher.
