Moves this week at Saatchi & Saatchi, W+K Portland, IPA Digital Media Group, Bow & Arrow, Guild of Commercial Filmmakers Australia, FilmCore, Agency Albion, Nola Pictures, Scramble, Nice Shoes

Saatchi & Saatchi has appointed Richard Hytner as worldwide deputy chairman. Hytner was previously chairman and CEO for operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and is replacing Kevin Dundas, Saatchi & Saatchi's worldwide strategy director, who is leaving after seven years. Dundas had been working out of the London office since 1999 when he joined as executive planning director. He was made chief executive in 2003 and then strategy director at the beginning of 2005.

Wieden + Kennedy Portland has appointed Tom Blessington as its managing director. The move is a return to W+K for Blessington who was with the agency for 12 years until he joined TBWAChiatDay in 2002 where he worked on the Nissan and Infiniti accounts.

Matt Simpson, head of digital at Starcom, has been elected by the IPA Digital Media Group to join Wayne Arnold and Ed Ling as the group's elected representatives. Patrick Griffith, planning director at Agency Republic, and Marc Giusti, creative director at Good Technology, join Lee Wright in representing the IPA Digital Creative Group.

Music video legend Steve Barron is to be represented by Bow & Arrow for commercials and special projects. Barron received an Outstanding Achievement Award at this year's CADS for his work on a host of videos including A-ha's Take On Me, Michael Jackson's Billie Jean and Human League's Don't You Want Me. He has come back to commercials after two years shooting his feature Choking Man but also shot Mike Bassett: England Manager and the live action version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Directing team Damon Escott and Stephen Lance have joined The Guild of Commercial Filmmakers in Australia. The pair have shot spots for Coke, Telstra, Arnotts, Nestle and Sanitarium and promos for artists including Bernard Fanning, The Grates, End of Fashion, and Sarah Blasko.

FilmCore has taken on Scott Friske as executive producer of its Santa Monica office. Formerly a producer at Rock Paper Scissors, Friske has more than a dozen years of experience in post production and has produced for brands including Nike, Honda, Motorola, Miller Beer and Coke.

Agency Albion has appointed Glyn Britton as planning director to work across all clients, with specific strategic responsibility for Skype, Blackberry and Last.fm. He joins from The Ingram Partnership where he was an associate partner, working on brand and communications strategy projects for clients like Orange, Mercedes-Benz, and Universal Pictures.

Live-action production company Nola Pictures has hired Janie Balcomb of Bow & Arrow as its new sales representative for the European market.

Sarah Irwin has joined London post-production house Scramble as a senior producer. Originally from the US, Irwin has worked as a producer at The Whitehouse, Framestore, SVC, Cell and Complete producing commercials for Phones 4 U, The Mirror, T-Mobile and Chevrolet.

Post-production house Nice Shoes has taken on Mike Donovan as director of new business development. Donovan joins Nice Shoes after serving as an executive producer at Charlex and its sister company Launch.
