Pearl & Dean: Doomed Planet

Before you hit play on this new cinema commercial for Pearl & Dean make sure you plug in the best headphones you have and crank up the volume to the point just before your ears start to bleed. The spot, directed by MJZ's Stephen Johnson through BETC London showcases exactly what a spectacular medium cinema can be.

"There's no point in just telling people how amazing cinema is, you've got to use pictures and sound to prove it", said Neil Dawson, ECD of BETC London. "Doomed Planet is designed specifically for the cinema so no other medium does it justice. So I would urge anyone watching it on their computer, to wear headphones. Computer speakers are completely inadequate for the power, depth and detail of our soundtrack. The visuals are a combination of real explosions and spectacular CGI created at Framestore."
