The new Honda CR-V now comes fully equipped with...an interactive website. The agency F/Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi has created the website as part of the vehicle's promotional campaign, which focuses on the idea of a toy for grown-ups. Sure enough, users of the site are able to play with the car, exploring many of its features and capabilities. And if you have an iPhone or iPad, you're in luck. Get ready for a joyride.
This campaign follows a new interactive media trend in the automobile industry, most recently with Olive Media's groundbreaking app for the Infiniti JX. Like Olive, F/Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi extended their vision into a mobile platform, though they chose to do so through pairing-up technology. This results in a two-part process: one simply goes to the website where they enable their device, and from there, they are then free to explore the room where the activity takes place via the car, with visual feedback on the screen of their iPhone or iPad. Of course, in addition to this more daring navigation, users are also encouraged to navigate in a traditional manner on the site by simply using their keyboard.
