BMW: Eclipse

Beauty is eclipsed in this spot for BMW's 6 Series Gran Coupe marking another collaboration for The Mill London with Rogue's Sam Brown and WCRS. Watch as the car comes to life in the new commercial as it crashes through the earth's atmosphere within the shadows of a solar eclipse all to an awesome soundtrack from the movie Heat.

"After spending a lot of time and detail studying solar eclipse references, sun surface textures and solar storms we got completely stuck in and re-created all of the beautiful solar shots in the spot," explains Mike Chapman, The Mill's 3D lead. VFX Producer, Chris Batten, adds: "While we developed and created the solar eclipse, storms and the sun the director, Sam Brown and the Rogue crew flew to the LA salt flats to shoot the live action sequences along with very specific practical FX plates for us so we could later comp around the car. The end result is a beautiful piece of work."
