Iconic baseball stadium Fenway Park celebrates its centenary this year and Brickyard VFX's Dave Waller has directed the first in a series of films in tribute to the venue.
Rising star Chris Shaw was selected by Red Sox management to play legendary slugger Ted Williams in the film. He studied William's signature swing and dressed in a vintage 1950s Red Sox uniform for the shoot, even wielding a real Williams bat. Shot on a Phantom camera at 1,200 frames per second, we see 'Williams' morph into current hero David Ortiz, who was filmed during a real game, as the crowd and even commentary is propelled into the 21st century.
