Detour Films has announced the signing of innovative young director and cinematographer Matty Brown. Brown’s emotional and imaginative work ranges from poetic short films like Hectometer – World Record, and Dreaming It{aly}, to beautifully crafted music videos such as The Doll Lab’s Birth of Bee Bop or Anderson & Roe’s The Piano. He was the guest-of-honour and keynote speaker at the 5 Minutos Nacional Film Festival in Salvador, Brazil this year where they also screened six of his films. Detour Films, home to some of the industry’s most creative directors and designers welcomes Brown to its growing roster of cutting-edge talent.
