For anyone reading this, or anyone male, there’s a good chance you forgot that today was Valentine’s Day until, to your horror, the girl on the neighbouring desk gloatingly waved in your face the dozen overpriced roses and box of cheap chocolates that her present-minded (new) boyfriend sent this morning (he seemed like a creep when you met him, remember?).
Now you have two options.
A: Scour the shops at lunchtime and suffer the humiliation of people pointing and laughing as you desperately thumb through the handful of sad, remaining unwanted cards while trying to convince yourself that she’ll ‘see the funny side’ of a love poem by Homer Simpson.
B: Send her a cute, personalised, musical e-Valentine message courtesy of London animation company jelly, and act like you had it planned all along.
Twitter users can go to heartjelly.jellylondon.com and write a personal message to appear at the end of a video they subsequently send to their loved one. The vintage-feeling video, illustrated by mixed media and collage specialist, Caroline Tomlinson, shows a cute cupid firing arrows from London to Paris and back and is accompanied by a funky, romantic track provided by MassiveMusic, who co-partnered the project along with jelly and digital agency Neverbland.
