In a crazy mix of Reservoir Dogs, The Prodigy's Smack My Bitch Up and video game Portal, Great Guns director Ilya Naishuller has helmed this violently kinetic film that's both a promo for his own band, Biting Elbows, and online content for Russian vodka brand Neft.
Subtly entitled Bad Motherfucker it's the follow-up video to Insane Office Escape from 18 months ago. Shot on Go Pro cameras over nine days with a crew of five professional stuntmen and 40 friends of the band, the film picks up moments after the ending of the first film. “The idea was very simple,” says Naishuller. “To shoot a very fun, exciting and relentless five minutes of action that can be enjoyed, with tongue firmly in cheek, for all its guilty excess and irreverence. Nothing more. Nothing less. I hope we have succeeded in our mission.”
He has. With bloody bells on.
