The Electrical Safety Council: Electric Chipmunks

The Electrical Safety Council (ESC) is aiming to cut through the jumble of consumer messages and get serious safety advice across to the UK public with a unique new campaign featuring a community of life-size 'chipmunks'.

In the lead film directed by Ben Tonge and presented by a straight-faced news anchor, the animals get sucked in by offers too good to refuse for knock-off electrical goods and the results aren't pretty. The campaign comes in the run-up to Christmas, when it is particularly important to inform people about the value of buying genuine goods.

UK charity ESC is committed to keeping people safe from electrical dangers in the home and devised the tongue-in-cheek video with Chief Productions Manchester and digital agency Code Computerlove.
