After weeks of consideration The Music + Sound Awards jury heads, comprising of more than 50 leading industry figures, have announced the finalists for this year’s event, to be held on Thursday 27 February at London’s Troxy. The awards, that recognise and celebrate the indispensable role and outstanding contribution that music and sound design play in the world of visual media, will present prizes for categories including Best Original Composition, Best Sound Design and Best Use of Existing Music in advertising.
A selection of finalists includes:
TV & Cinema Advertising: Marks and Spencer Magic and Sparkle (RKCR/Y&R and Native), Army Boots (750mph), Vodafone Lost in Content (RKCR/Y&R and The Works Music)
Non – Broadcast & Viral Advertising: Range Rover Sport Pikes Peak (RKCR/Y&R), Mindfull Let It All Out (Soho Square Studios), O2 Be More Dog (Soho Music)
Branding and Titles: Downton Abbey, Series 4 (composer, John Lunn), ITV Rebrand (composer, Wayne Sharp), Last Tango in Halifax (Sue Keatley)
